The many ways you can participate:

Below are the active missions and ministries at First Christian.  You need only express an interest to someone and you will be connected to the ministry leader.  You decide where to plug in.  Align your passions with a ministry and watch what happens.  
Cozy Quilters
​
 
Our Quilters gather on Tuesday mornings at 9am to work on their latest creations.  These quilts are distributed throughout the year to individuals and organizations.  
 
These gifts of love are sent into the world as a reminder to those who need a little comfort and warmth that they are not alone.  
 
Join this group and become part of one of our strongest ministries. New members are always welcome!

Sanctuary Choir

Our sanctuary choir practices weekly and sings during our Sunday worship service.  Each week they share beautiful anthems and frequently share special music.

Communication/Tech Team

​

We are continually seeking ways to improve our existing communication and identifying new ways to communicate all the ministry that takes place.  This team manages:

  • Press releases

  • Outdoor signage

  • Website

  • Facebook Page

  • Sound system operation

CWF
(Christian Womens Fellowship)

​

One of our women's ministries gathers monthly on Wednesday mornings.  Each month a guest speaker shares a topic of interest with the group.  Topics of interest from past speakers include:
  • Love on a Leash
  • Coleman Centers
  • Domestic Violence
  • Historical Society
In addition to the guest speaker a typical meeting includes an update on the business of the group, a devotion, prayer, and refreshments - there's always food!

Hospitality Team

​

This team focuses on ways to be more welcoming, from improving our signage to creating new opportunities to gather. Our coffee corner (pictured above) is one example; folks gather before and after worship to have a cup of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate and engage in conversation.

Men's Ministry

​

The men at FCC gather periodically for fellowship, fun, and yes...work.  You might find them:

These men are always up for something new.  Although they do not meet regularly, don't let that fool you.  They are a vibrant group!

Circle of Joy

​

 
For our working women and stay-at-home moms, this women's group meets once a month in the evening to share in a time of fellowship and to plan various mission projects:
  • Mitten tree
  • Valentine plates
  • Nut & Fruit roll fundraiser
​
Dinner at a local restaurant is a favorite outing for this group.
​

Creative Worship Team

​

The creative juices flow in this team as they seek to find new and different ways to enliven our worship services.

​

Drama, special music, banners and decorations are just a few ways we change things up.

Community Outreach

​

We are always seeking new opportunities to connect to our local community.  We provide support through monetary donations and through volunteering of our time.  We participate in:

  • Loaves & Fishes

  • Warm Hands Warm Hearts*

  • Fatherhood Celebration*

  • Salvation Army Bell Ringing

  • Salvation Army Angel Tree
